This is quite absurd: even if ASUS's policy is to get you to activate Windows, and they do refund you for that, they have no right to get the refund value back from Microsoft, according to the activation terms. Which, probably, neither companies care much about, but anyway. I am actually curious to know how this plays out, since Microsoft tried to pull a non-refundable 'feature' on Windows 8…
